Kids Arts Academy - activities for children in sheffield

Through her experience as a primary school teacher Hannah knows that providing opportunities to explore and enjoy artistic activities during the school day is limited by time constraints.

At the Kids Arts Academy we like to provide the opportunity for children to work to a larger scale than they probably do at school. We also like to work using a combination of different materials and processes and do so in both 2D and 3D.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS.

The Kids Arts Academy currently runs after school clubs in South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. If you would like us to contact your school with regards to setting up a club please contact Hannah at her email address: hannah@kidsartsacademy.co.uk.

HOLIDAY CLUBS.

Art Clubs in Sheffield 4 - 11yr olds

During our holiday clubs we run 2 main art activities per day, the first session runs from 10 AM - 12.30 PM, when we stop for lunch, and the second session runs from 1PM- 3.30PM. We also offer an early drop off option which starts at 9AM.

Children can attend as many sessions as they like, as every activity we run is different. But please note we only take children younger than 5 who are not yet in full time education for 1 session per day.

Cooking Clubs 8-12 yr. Olds

Whether we're making fudge brownies or Chimichangas our Cooking Club is absolutely awesome fun. A cookery teacher of 35yrs experience has designed all of the activities.

Young Illustrators Story Club 8-12yr.olds

This activity group is all about creating and illustrating your own adventure book; we will use our own adventure story as inspiration for our illustrations (think treasure maps, jungles, buried treasure, lost islands and maybe even the odd alien and you'll be on the right track). The emphasis in this group is on illustrating and how the story unfolds using pictures, not on writing, although if the children want to include writing in their work we are happy for them to do so.

Enrolment is for the full 3 days at the end of which the children will have created their own book that will be spiral bound for them.

Times 10 AM - 3PM

We run a different artistic activity at each of our half day sessions so children can attend as many as they like.

Prices and times are as follows:

Full day £25 10AM - 3.30PM
Half day £12.50 10AM - 12.30 PM or 1PM - 3.30PM
Early drop off option from 9 AM available at an additional charge of £5 per child per day.

Saturday Art Club:

At our Saturday Club we run fantastic activities some of which span across a few weeks to allow the children more time to develop a project. This club is currently just running from the King Edward VII Lower school site and costs £12.50 per session or £40 for a 4 week block.

Childcare vouchers

Our Crosspool venue is registered with Ofsted on the Voluntary childcare register which means that we can accept childcare vouchers for attendance at the Kids Arts Academy at King Edward VII Lower School in Crosspool.
